Hi Joseph, “Share Post Now (Friends)” refers to sharing on your own Timeline. “Share…” gives you options to share on a friend’s Timeline, in a group, or on a Page you manage. “Send a Message” refers to sharing in a private message.
If you choose “Share Now (Public)”, then it will automatically share on your Timeline to the “Public” privacy setting, so anyone on Facebook will be able to see that post. … From this choice, you will also be able to change the privacy of the post to “Friends”, “Only Me”, or a “Custom” privacy setting.
What is the difference between timeline and News Feed on Facebook?
The newsfeed is a stream of your friends Facebook activities. Your wall (aka Timeline) is your own list of activities you have carried out on Facebook.
What is the difference between sharing with friends or News Feed?
The News Feed is about your friends and what they’re doing, while your Profile page is about you and the information you’re OK with sharing. Your News Feed page is a stream of continually updated information from your friends and any Groups or Facebook Pages you follow.
Facebook currently has a dual-class structure. Class A shares, which are what trade under the ticker “FB” on public markets and have one vote per share, and Class B shares, which have 10 votes per share and is what company insiders own. The Class B shares don’t trade on an exchange.
When you share someone else’s post, that post isn’t placed on your own Timeline. Instead, your share is merely a “pointer” to the original post. In other words, when you share someone’s post you’re basically telling your Facebook friends that you like that post and they should check it out.
If no ‘Share’ button appears on a post – it is because of the Privacy Settings of the original post. If a post is set for ‘Friends Only’ (perhaps this is your Default Timeline setting) – it will not be available for ‘Sharing’ around on Facebook beyond that setting.
Why isn’t a post appearing on my timeline?

When someone posts on your timeline who sees it?
1 Answer. If you post directly on their timeline, they control the privacy setting. They have just one setting for all posts that others post on their timeline. If they have it set to Friends, then only their friends will be able to see it.

If you share a post you see onto your friend’s Timeline, it will only appear on your friend’s Timeline, not on your own. However, you can also share a post you see onto your own Timeline for all of your Facebook friends to see.
If you click Share on a friend’s post, the friend who originally shared it is given a credit. So if you reshare an article, the post that your friends see will say Via [Friend’s Name] so that everyone knows where you found it.
